How to Pay for ElyIT Courses with ClassWallet
ElyIT is an approved Arizona ESA vendor, so students in grades 8–12 can enroll using ESA funds through ClassWallet. The whole process takes about ten minutes of your time — here is exactly what happens, in order, with no surprises.
The one thing to plan around
ClassWallet payment routes through the ESA program for approval, and that step is not instant — allow a few weeks between submitting your request and your student's start date. If you are aiming for a posted cohort date, start this process as soon as enrollment opens.
Pick the course and choose the ESA path at checkout
Add the course to your cart and continue to checkout. Instead of paying by card, choose “Pay with Arizona ESA (ClassWallet)”. You’ll confirm your student’s name and your ESA beneficiary ID — no payment details are entered on our site. If you have a referral or promo code, enter it here: the discount is applied automatically and appears as its own line on your invoice.
Receive your itemized invoice — within one business day
We prepare a ClassWallet-ready invoice listing your student’s name, each course with its price, any discount, the 2.5% ClassWallet processing fee, and ElyIT’s vendor information and EIN — everything the program requires, formatted so it can be submitted without edits.
Submit the invoice in ClassWallet
Log in to your ClassWallet account, choose Direct Pay, select ElyIT as the vendor, and submit the invoice amount. This is the ten-minutes-of-your-time step — reference the invoice number when submitting.
The ESA program reviews and releases payment
Approval happens inside the ESA program on its own timeline — commonly a few weeks. We watch for the payment on our side; there is nothing you need to do during this stage, though starting well before your target cohort date is what makes this step painless.
Your student is enrolled
As soon as payment confirms, we activate the enrollment, set up your student’s access, and email you the details — session schedule, platform access, and what to expect in week one.
Common questions
Does the referral discount work with ESA payments?
Yes. A referral or promo code entered when you submit your enrollment request reduces the invoice itself — the discount shows as its own line, and the amount billed to your ESA account is lower. It works the same way as it does for card payments.
What if my ESA funds have not been disbursed yet?
You can submit your enrollment request at any time — the invoice waits for you. Many families line up their request just before a quarterly disbursement so the funds and the invoice arrive together.
What happens if I cancel?
ESA refunds are governed by Arizona Department of Education policy: unused funds are returned directly to ADE, not to the family, and ElyIT cannot redirect them to siblings or future purchases. Full details are on our Refund Policy page.
Is the $35 application fee ESA-eligible?
The application fee is listed on your invoice along with everything else, so the program reviews the full amount as submitted. If you have questions about a specific line item, reply to your invoice email and we will walk through it with you.
